Truffle terms of service

A simple agreement for using Truffle.

Effective September 15, 2026. These terms apply to the Truffle mobile app and related services.

1. Accepting these terms

By installing or using Truffle, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are using Truffle as part of a closed test, you also agree to provide honest feedback and report material problems where practical.

2. The service

Truffle provides tools for recording transactions, planning budgets, managing savings jars, importing or exporting data, and optionally creating AI-assisted transaction suggestions from photos or voice recordings. Features may change during testing, and some features may require an internet connection, permissions, an account, or a paid subscription.

Truffle is a budgeting tool, not a bank, financial adviser, accountant, tax adviser, or payment service. You are responsible for checking every entry and decision made using the app.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of the transaction information, notes, photos, and recordings you add. You grant Truffle permission to process that content only as needed to provide the features you request. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful.

Keep your device, account credentials, exported backups, and sign-in email secure. Local data can be lost if you lose your device without making an export backup.

4. AI-assisted features

AI suggestions can be incomplete or inaccurate. Always review the proposed merchant, amount, date, category, and notes before saving a transaction. Do not rely on an AI result as the sole record of a purchase or as financial advice.

5. Subscriptions

Optional paid features are billed through Google Play or another supported app store. Prices, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment terms are governed by the applicable store's terms and the offer shown at purchase. You can manage a subscription through your app-store account.

6. Availability and disclaimers

Truffle is provided during testing and may contain defects, interruptions, or changes. To the extent permitted by law, Truffle is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access to remote services where needed for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, or legal compliance. You may stop using Truffle at any time. To request deletion of an account and associated account data, use the account deletion page.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
